Setup Firefox’s Kee extension to access your Keepass file on Ubuntu GNU Linux 18.04
Goal
The Kee extension available for Firefox allows you to fetch password from an unlocked Keepass 2 file. This procedure describe how to set it up.
Installation of Kee
Open Firefox and install the Kee extension from the Extension website
Extension Page : https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/keefox/

Installation of Keepass 2
Add the following repository and install Keepass2
sudo apt-add-repository ppa:jtaylor/keepass
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install keepass2 mono-complete
Installation of KeepassRPC extension
Create the Keepass plugin folder
sudo mkdir /usr/lib/keepass2/plugins
Make sure you have curl and jq software installed.
sudo apt install curl
sudo apt install jq
Download the latest KeepassRPC plugin
curl -s https://api.github.com/repos/kee-org/keepassrpc/releases/latest | jq -r ".assets[] | select(.name | test(\"KeePassRPC.plgx\")) | .browser_download_url" | xargs sudo curl -s -L -o "/usr/lib/keepass2/plugins/KeePassRPC.plgx"
