Microsoft Lync Phone does not authenticate on the Lync server
Issue
You’ve restarted the desk phone (In my case a Polycom CX600 – Windows CE Embedded 6.0) and the authentication process does not work.
Solution
This could be due to the fact that the phone is not able to retrieve Root Certificates. In such case, a phone reset is required.
- Pull the LAN cable out
- Puch the * and the #key at the same time and hold them down
- Plug the LAN cable back
- Wait until you see a message asking you to erase User Settings
- Release the two key
- Select Yes
- Wait until the phone is asking you to select the language
- Once that done, the phone will looked up for your settings (If the usb cable is attached from the phone to the computer)
- The phone should have booted up
- Go into the Settings and change the Time Zone according to your location.
