Force check disk on next restart
There is a bit that trigger autocheck during the boot process to force it to check a specific volume. When activated the disk is called DIRTY.
Set a disk to dirty :
- Open a command prompt with administrator privileges
- Run the following command (where c: is the drive you want to make dirty ๐ )
fsutil dirty set c:
Check if a disk is dirty
- Open a command prompt with administrator privileges
- Run the following command (where c: is the drive you want to make dirty ๐ )
fsutil dirty query c:
