Export contacts from iCloud

Issue

You wanna get your contacts out of iCloud (e.g: You want to get out of their crappy services)

Solutions

From iCloud.com

Login to https://icloud.com

Go to Contacts

Click on the small Gear at the bottom

Click Select All

Click Export vCard…

From Outlook (on Windows)

If you don’t want to mess up with your current outlook setup, I would recommend to start Outlook with a new profile. The method I use is to create a empty profile without any email address attached.

Make sure you have at least Outlook 2016 and iCloud for Windows installed (https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT204283). Do not login yet to the iCloud for Windows App as we need to create an empty Outlook profile before.

Outlook Profile

Right click on the Start Menu icon then click on Run

Type in the below command and click OK. This will run Outlook and create a new empty profile called “NoEmail”

Outlook.exe /PIM NoEmail

iCloud for Windows

Keep Outlook open, install and configure iCloud for Windows.

Export contacts from Outlook

Use the Outlook feature to export your contacts in CSV format or in a PST file (File -> Open and Export)
