Delete a RAID volume in OpenMediaVault
Issue
You want to delete a RAID volume but you can’t as Delete button is greyed out
Solution
You need to delete a bunch of other stuff before you could delete the volume.
Backup you data before as these action will lead to the deletion of all information
Services
- In the left panel, go to Services.
- Click on each services
- Go go to Shares (if they have one)
- Delete the associated shared folder
- Validate your changes if asked by OpenMediaVault
Shared Folder
- Go Access Rights Management
- Click on Shared Folders
- Delete each Shared Folders
- Validate your changes if asked by OpenMediaVault
File Systems
- Go to Storage
- Click on File Systems
- Select the RAID volume
- Click on the Unmount button
RAID Management
- Go to Storage
- Click on RAID Management
- Select the RAID volume
- Click on the Delete button
